Mr. Dering has over 30 years of experience in successfully managing and growing technology firms. Mr. Dering specializes in supporting both the executive management team and the board of emerging growth companies. Mr. Dering often provides both CEO mentoring services as well as help with a company’s growth and strategic direction. Mr. Dering is an active board member and consultant for several very successful high-tech companies throughout the country, including Treez and Semo.
Mr. Dering has been CEO and/or on the board of a wide range of companies, including 3PillarGlobal, Valencell, HelloWallet, Fishbowl, Bridgeborn, Washington Management Group/CCS, StrikeIron, The Royalty Exchange, and MindShare.
Prior to forming D&E, Mr. Dering was President and CEO of ServiceBench. ServiceBench experienced rapid growth by developing innovative “Service Management On-Demand” solutions, attracting prestigious new customers and expanding internationally. As a result, ServiceBench was recognized by Deloitte as one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America.
Prior to ServiceBench, Mr. Dering served as President and CEO of CrossAccess Corporation, a multi-national venture-funded software infrastructure company that focused on integrating corporate business functions with new e-business applications. Prior to joining CrossAccess, Mr. Dering served as President and CEO of two publicly traded Bell & Howell companies. Under Mr. Dering’s leadership, Bell & Howell Mail and Messaging Technologies (MMT) doubled its profits and grew its revenue to $500 million, while cultivating a broad customer base that included telecommunications carriers.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
Mr. Estrada provides technology engineering and business acceleration services to a wide range of companies. In technology engineering, Mr. Estrada has helped companies with large system implementations, technology direction and implementation, and testing and quality assurance. For business acceleration, Mr. Estrada has taken leadership positions in a variety of companies to help with strategic direction, growth, and exit strategies.
Mr. Estrada has over 30 years of experience in corporate management of leading software application and development firms as well as a deep understanding of the transportation and warranty service industries. Mr. Estrada has extensive experience in complex software design, including development, implementation, and support of Internet, SaaS, and e-commerce systems.
Mr. Estrada led the business development and product management teams for Connected Vehicles for Kapsch. Kapsch is a public firm based in Vienna, Austria, specializing in transportation technologies. He was instrumental in the acquisition and implementation of successful Connected Vehicle implementations in Columbus, Ohio, Pinellas County, Florida, and Calgary, Alberta. Mr. Estrada worked very closely with both the hardware and software teams at Kapsch to ensure that the Kapsch Connected Vehicle technologies continued to be the most complete in the business.
Mr. Estrada was the founder and CEO of eTrans System. He was very active in the transportation industry and participated in numerous industry initiatives, including testing, verification, and certification. Mr. Estrada was project manager and systems engineer on several eTrans projects. In addition, he was the project manager on eTrans’ CAMP SCMS project. Through these efforts, Mr. Estrada gained a detailed understanding of Connected Vehicle technologies and the industry in which they will be deployed.
Mr. Estrada was the CEO for CheckVideo (Cernium Corporation) and was responsible for turning around a challenged organization. He targeted new vertical markets, developed a new distribution channel of over 200 dealers, and created a higher value, more integrated product suite. He also completely revamped the management team and company focus. He successfully sold the company in April 2013.
Prior to forming D&E, Mr. Estrada was one of the founders of ServiceBench. He was the CEO or COO during his nine years at ServiceBench and, with Mr. Dering, led its growth to over 100 people before it was sold in 2008. ServiceBench set the standard for true end-to-end service channel support systems, improving both business processes and business intelligence for manufacturers, retailers, and their service channel partners. ServiceBench was the dominant service provider in the Appliance, Consumer Electronics, and Extended Warranty Industries.
Mr. Estrada was CEO and founder of Sideout Technologies, Inc., which successfully developed customized Internet-based software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Sideout Technologies, Mr. Estrada led software development for DSR, a government contract firm, and was instrumental in spurring the rapid growth of the company from 3 to 150 people.
Mr. Estrada has held multiple corporate advisory board positions, including Modus Create, Registria, Three Pillar Software, BEST (Business Electronics Soldering Technologies), Natural Insight, and TutorFind. He is a member of the University of Richmond Customer Experience Advisory Committee. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Virginia Tech.
Ms. Camarata has 25+ years of experience in system analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation of complex software applications. She has led successful developments in a wide range of industries including the Warranty and Service Industries, Education Industry, Large Database Systems and Navy DOD Systems.
Ms. Camarata has led teams of over 75 engineers with a mixture of both on-shore and off-shore talent. She has built proficient teams and motivated them to turn business and technical vision into reality with solutions that provide exceptional business value all while meeting budget and time constraints.
Ms. Camarata has significant experience in cybersecurity, certification and the specification and implementation of security controls.
Prior to D&E, Ms. Camarata was Director of Technical Services for Altron, Inc. At Altron, Ms. Camarata led a Cybersecurity maturation project to prepare the company for an audit to become CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) Level 3 certified. CMMC certification is a requirement for Department of Defense Contractors for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The CMMC certification required implementing 110 NIST 800-171 controls plus an additional 20 CMMC specific controls.
Prior to Altron, Ms. Camarata was ServiceBench Director at Asurion. She was responsible for managing a dynamic team of over 75 application developers and managers to deliver enhancements and client implementations on a monthly release cycle using an agile development process.
Ms. Camarata was the Lead Architect for the National Student Loan Clearinghouse (NSLC) during its startup phase. Ms. Camarata managed all IT projects for the Clearinghouse including the design, development, and implementation of a student enrollment tracking system, SENTRY, used to maintain historical enrollment information of college students reported to the NSLC by participating schools and members.
Ms. Camarata has Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
