Mr. Estrada provides technology engineering and business acceleration services to a wide range of companies. In technology engineering, Mr. Estrada has helped companies with large system implementations, technology direction and implementation, and testing and quality assurance. For business acceleration, Mr. Estrada has taken leadership positions in a variety of companies to help with strategic direction, growth, and exit strategies.
Mr. Estrada has over 30 years of experience in corporate management of leading software application and development firms as well as a deep understanding of the transportation and warranty service industries. Mr. Estrada has extensive experience in complex software design, including development, implementation, and support of Internet, SaaS, and e-commerce systems.
Mr. Estrada led the business development and product management teams for Connected Vehicles for Kapsch. Kapsch is a public firm based in Vienna, Austria, specializing in transportation technologies. He was instrumental in the acquisition and implementation of successful Connected Vehicle implementations in Columbus, Ohio, Pinellas County, Florida, and Calgary, Alberta. Mr. Estrada worked very closely with both the hardware and software teams at Kapsch to ensure that the Kapsch Connected Vehicle technologies continued to be the most complete in the business.
Mr. Estrada was the founder and CEO of eTrans System. He was very active in the transportation industry and participated in numerous industry initiatives, including testing, verification, and certification. Mr. Estrada was project manager and systems engineer on several eTrans projects. In addition, he was the project manager on eTrans’ CAMP SCMS project. Through these efforts, Mr. Estrada gained a detailed understanding of Connected Vehicle technologies and the industry in which they will be deployed.
Mr. Estrada was the CEO for CheckVideo (Cernium Corporation) and was responsible for turning around a challenged organization. He targeted new vertical markets, developed a new distribution channel of over 200 dealers, and created a higher value, more integrated product suite. He also completely revamped the management team and company focus. He successfully sold the company in April 2013.
Prior to forming D&E, Mr. Estrada was one of the founders of ServiceBench. He was the CEO or COO during his nine years at ServiceBench and, with Mr. Dering, led its growth to over 100 people before it was sold in 2008. ServiceBench set the standard for true end-to-end service channel support systems, improving both business processes and business intelligence for manufacturers, retailers, and their service channel partners. ServiceBench was the dominant service provider in the Appliance, Consumer Electronics, and Extended Warranty Industries.
Mr. Estrada was CEO and founder of Sideout Technologies, Inc., which successfully developed customized Internet-based software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Sideout Technologies, Mr. Estrada led software development for DSR, a government contract firm, and was instrumental in spurring the rapid growth of the company from 3 to 150 people.
Mr. Estrada has held multiple corporate advisory board positions, including Modus Create, Registria, Three Pillar Software, BEST (Business Electronics Soldering Technologies), Natural Insight, and TutorFind. He is a member of the University of Richmond Customer Experience Advisory Committee. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Virginia Tech.
